Saturday Dec 10 Edgartown Christmas Parade

we have been invited by the Peace Council, or I should say they asked on our behalf if we could be part of the Edgartown Christmas parade. We would love to have everyone show up. Bring a sign that reflects the feeling of "inclusiveness as in the 100%" and "occupy your heart"...  Everyone needs to be there at 10 am for staging and parade start.

 

 

Tuesday, Dec 6 Taping of "Tank Talk"

We have been invited to be guests on Bob Tankard's show "Tank Talk" which will air later that week. Once we have the air date we can pass that along as well as reminding you the show can be watched online on the streaming feed MVTV has. We were asked to come up with 7 questions that Bob might ask us about the Occupy Movement. Here are the questions we came up with through our email GA.



 

 

Sunday Dec 4 General Assembly Meeting

We will be having a GA meeting at Jeri Dantzig's house in VH.

Some of the items that will be on the meetings agenda:

  • Ideas for dates for the "Day Action" to present to the social action committee at Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center
  • Discussion on having an Action on Dec 6th to align with Occupy Wall Street "Goes Home" a National Action day. (http://occupywallst.org/article/december-6-occupy-wall-street-goes-home/) 
  • Organizing what is needed for the Parade Action on Dec 10
  • Deciding on what kind of weekly Action to have for advanced notice for people
  • Identify good tactical occasions that coincide with something we can call attention to

 

Friday, Dec 2 Music Video Shoot at MVTV We will be doing a shoot for a music video of Micheal's song "I want to Occupy Your Heart" at the MVTV television studios. We begin the shoot at 3 pm and would like to have some people come to be in the "audience" while Michael performs and we do several "full" run throughs. Please get there right at 3 before we begin shooting 

 

 
 

  

Occupy Together Saturday Nov 19, 2011

Action at the Blinker on Saturday Nove 19. 9 - 11 AM Bring your smile and desire to connect with fellow Vineyarders. Bring a sign or hold one of the ones we have already made. Bring a marker and make your own with our blank cardboard. More and more people are coming out to "play" at each action. The People driving by are Very enthusiastic and supportive. See you there! General Assembly Meeting

General Assembly meeting Sunday No. 13 5:00 pm at Jeri Dantzig's house in VH. We will be talking about ideas for our Action on Nov. 17 the 2 month anniversary of the OWS and Occupy Together movement beginning. We will also be talking about plans for a day long event with learn-ins, music, speakers, mic checks...
